Ashanti Shequoiya, also known in the media as Ashanti was born on 13 October the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a singer, songwriter from America and actress. Ashanti was discovered as a teenager and eventually signing with Murder Inc. Records in 2002. That same year, she appeared as a guest on the Fat Joe's What's Luv? Both Fat Joe's What's Luv? In the year she debuted her debut single What's Luv which ranked at the second spot at the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States and Foolish at #1 with Foolish being her first single, she became the only female artist to accomplish this feat. She was on the Christmas in the City film as Latasha as Latasha in Army Wives. The song she sang Rock wit U was sampled by British artist Aitch to record his song Baby on March 10 2022.
